Great Lakes Firearms GL15 223 Wylde 16" 10-Round CA Compliant Rifle

Great Lakes Firearms and Ammunition GLFA223 Features The Great Lakes Firearms GLFA223 is chambered in .223 Wylde a chamber cut that allows the rifle to safely and accurately fire both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition interchangeably. The 16 inch heavy barrel or HBAR profile is machined from 416R stainless steel with a 1 in 8 twist rate a combination that favors heavier bullets and helps the rifle hold its accuracy as the barrel heats up during extended range sessions. A 1/2x28 threaded muzzle comes fitted with an included muzzle brake angled six degrees forward to help manage recoil and muzzle rise. The M4 feed ramps and carbine-length gas system round out a reliable mil-spec operating system built on a 7075 aluminum upper and lower. The 15.25 inch aluminum handguard wraps the barrel in a full-length Picatinny rail giving shooters room to mount optics lights lasers and other accessories along the full length of the forend. A Mil-spec polymer grip and a 5.5 to 6 pound trigger pull round out the controls while the rifle ships with no iron sights leaving the top rail open for a red dot or scope of the shooter s choice. Finished in a durable black Cerakote and configured with a California-compliant 10-round magazine the GLFA223 weighs 6.8 pounds and measures 33.25 inches overall. This configuration makes the Great Lakes Firearms GLFA223 a practical accurate AR-15 pattern rifle for California hunters target shooters and home defense use.
