1791 Gunleather Optic Ready Shoulder Horizontal Holster Brown Right Hand 1911

1791 Gunleather Optic Ready Shoulder Features The 1791 Gunleather Optic Ready Shoulder holster is cut specifically to accommodate a 1911 pistol wearing a red dot sight a detail that matters because a standard shoulder holster often will not seat properly around a raised optic. The horizontal orientation positions the pistol parallel to the ground under the arm a configuration many shooters find faster to draw from and more comfortable to wear seated than a vertical rig. Genuine brown leather construction offers the classic look and durability 1791 Gunleather is known for developing a personalized patina with wear over time. Because this holster is built for right hand carry the rig is oriented for a right-handed draw across the body. Shoulder holsters like this one distribute the weight of a full-size 1911 across the shoulders and back rather than the hip which many shooters find more comfortable for all-day carry or long periods of driving. The leather construction retains the pistol securely through normal movement while still allowing a smooth consistent draw stroke when needed. For 1911 owners who have added an optic to their carry gun finding a leather holster that still fits can be a challenge which is exactly the gap this optic ready design fills.
