Description

The Peltor ComTac VIII is an electronic earmuff designed for shooters, military, and law enforcement personnel who need hearing protection that still allows environmental listening. It protects against impulse and steady-state noise while using Mission Audio Profiles to adjust audibility to the surrounding acoustic environment. Soundscaping technology is intended to improve radio communication and speech intelligibility in noisy settings.

The headset includes an earplug mode that lets it be paired with passive earplugs for added protection while retaining some situational awareness. It is tested to applicable sections of multiple military and other recognized standards. The matte gray finish provides a low-profile appearance for training and operational use.
