3M Peltor RangeGuard Electronic Hearing Protection Over the Head NRR 21

The 3M Peltor RangeGuard Sport is an electronic over-the-head hearing protector designed for shooting ranges and other environments where loud impulse noise is present. Its electronics amplify speech and ambient sounds at normal levels while suppressing harmful noise, so the user can hear commands and surroundings without clipping.

The headset is rated at a Noise Reduction Rating of 21 dB and has a 3-button touchpad for control. Soft ear cushions sit over the ears, and a padded stainless steel headband folds for storage. An auto power-saving feature and an external battery compartment support the unit's two AA batteries. A radio input is included for connecting external devices.

The finish is gray and black with a polymer body.
