A rifle-length gas system ensures reliable cycling while the .750-inch gas block journal accommodates low-profile gas blocks. The M5E1 upper receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum providing strength without unnecessary weight. It includes M4 feed ramps and comes assembled with a forward assist and port door installed. The integrated handguard mounting platform simplifies assembly and enhances rigidity. Paired with a 16.6-inch Gen 2 Enhanced M-LOK Handguard this upper offers ample space for accessory attachment. The handguard features quick disconnect sling sockets at the 3 6 and 9 o clock positions built-in anti-rotation tabs and a continuous top rail for seamless integration of optics and sights.
