Amberg ~ Gew. 98 ~ 7mm Rem.

(SKU: 5579854) This Amberg Gewehr 98 rifle chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum presents in very good overall condition with an attractive custom stock featuring highly figured wood grain and a recoil pad. Metal surfaces show a clean appearance, and the rifle retains the classic controlled-feed Mauser-style action that has made the platform famous among hunters and shooters. Originally produced at the Amberg Arsenal in Germany, the Gewehr 98 was the standard German military rifle adopted in 1898 and is widely regarded as one of the most influential bolt-action rifle designs ever created. While the original Gewehr 98 was chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser, many examples were later sporterized and converted to modern sporting cartridges, such as 7mm Remington Magnum.
