The Apex Tactical Aluminum Action Enhancement Kit Duty/Carry is a drop-in replacement set for the trigger assembly of compatible Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 pistols. It replaces the trigger, sear, sear spring, and striker block, and is intended to give a smoother trigger pull with reduced travel compared with the factory trigger. The kit fits S&W M&P 2.0 9/40 and M&P 45 pistols and does not fit the original M&P 9/40 or M&P Shield.

The kit is made of aluminum with a matte black finish and is listed as a striker-fired system. According to the manufacturer, it reduces trigger pre-travel and over-travel by approximately 20% and shortens reset length, with a target trigger pull of 5 to 5.5 pounds for duty and carry use.
