Area 419 Sidewinder Magnum Self Timing Muzzle Brake .30 Cal 3/4x24 Black Nitride

Area 419 Sidewinder Magnum Features The Area 419 Sidewinder Magnum uses rearward facing ports and a proprietary progressive port design where the size of each port decreases moving away from the muzzle to maximize recoil reduction while keeping overall length manageable. Independent testing of the related Hellfire brake showed a 52 percent recoil reduction on a 6.5 Creedmoor test rifle and the Sidewinder s additional port and larger diameter are expected to improve on that figure further. A universal adapter is torqued onto the barrel permanently after which the brake and collar assembly left hand threads onto the adapter and locks into place without tools. The face of the brake is engraved with the caliber for correct orientation and includes a horizontal line to assist with leveling. Machined from heat treated 17-4PH stainless steel and finished in black nitride the Sidewinder Magnum is built entirely in the USA on CNC equipment. At 5.60 inches in overall length and threaded 3/4x24 for .30 caliber rifles it adds approximately 2.75 inches to the barrel while weighing about 7.5 ounces including the adapter. Because the brake locks onto a taper rather than relying on a collar alone return to zero after removal and reinstallation is excellent meaning a shooter can pull the brake for cleaning or storage without disturbing their zero. For magnum rifle shooters chasing the flattest possible recoil impulse the Sidewinder Magnum is a serious upgrade.
