Description
Area 419 has perfected the precision reloading press – introducing the ZERO turret style press. It is the embodiment of the pursuit of zero tolerance reloading, with zero friction. The turret press also works toward zero variance in die setup. Each press is hand measured and fitted, mating the ram and the bearing, ensuring the most precise ram stroke on the market. Milled from all-American billet aluminum and stainless steel, this press moves with the help of 14 bearings, including a self-lubricating linear sleeve bearing, guiding the precision-ground 1.25″ ram with less than 0.0006″ of diametric clearance.Consistency is paramount in precision reloading, and The ZERO was designed around that goal. From one stroke to the next, or one reloading session to another, we want every piece of ammo you make to be as consistent as possible. The ZERO provides you with an unmatched ability to create consistency.Features: Internally contained primer-catch system with simple slide-out tray. Turret is located using an oversized ball-detent system. Turret system secured with over-sized, custom-made pull-stud. When indexing the turret, repeatability variance of the system is less than 0.0005″. Adjustable/interchangeable handle setup for maximizing leverage/feel based on operation. The linkage system glides on bearings and custom hardware which allows near-zero slop. 0.75″ steel arm and zero-friction knob handle will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.Specifications: UPC: 850002933772 Part #: 419-ZERO-7 Die Size / Type accepted: Standard 7/8"-14 threaded dies Includes standard bolt-down plate and Turret t-handle Made in America, from American materials Does not include shell holders or dies.Frequently Asked Questions: Changing the position of the turret from one die to another will require only a turn of a (supplied) t-handle. The available ram-stroke is 4.4″, accomodates significantly large cases. 4.75 inch press opening allows for sizing and seating of cases up to 338LM, and will accept standard 7/8″ dies and standard shellholders. (Area 419 recommends Redding dies.) The press CAN be used for Cheytac-class reloading, but may (depending on your die setup and bullet length) require you to “scoop” the bullet into the sizing die and down into the case before sizing. ZERO Press includes standard bolt-down plate. (Inline Fabrication mount plates Sold Separately) Using standard shellholders there will be a small amount of float available to account for uncontrollable 3rd party tolerances; Area 419 shellholders sold separately.
