Description
The Arisaka Defense Offset Optic Mount Base is a black anodized aluminum mount that attaches to the top Picatinny rail of an AR-15 and holds a red dot sight at a 35 or 45 degree offset. It is intended for shooters who want to position a red dot off the centerline of the rifle, with the optic remaining centered over the bore when the rifle is canted.
The 35 degree position brings the sight closer to slim, small scopes, while the 45 degree position adds clearance around wider turrets or larger, higher magnification scopes. The base and optic plates are reversible for left or right side use, and the mount maintains a lower 1/3 co-witness height. Six interchangeable optic plates are sold separately to support a range of red dot sights.
