The Armaspec SMB Buffer Kit Gen 3 is a complete rear-end package for AR-15 pattern rifles, replacing the standard spring and weight assembly with a sound-mitigating buffer. Its tuned reciprocating mass is intended to reduce the noise produced when the spring rubs against the buffer tube wall, and the kit is described as reducing felt recoil during extended range sessions and training.
