Description
The Athlon Optics Helos BTR Gen 2 is a 2-12x42mm first focal plane rifle scope built for designated marksman rifle use and for hunters who want the same capability. It is aimed at short-range and mid-range shooting, whether the shooter dials elevation or holds over.
The scope uses an illuminated AHMR2 MOA reticle etched on glass, with a 42mm objective and a 2-12x magnification range. Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, its MOA subtensions remain valid at every magnification. The one-piece heat-treated 6061 T6 aluminum tube is waterproof, fogproof, shockproof and argon purged, and the turrets include locking and zero-stop features. The matte black scope weighs 1.59 lbs and measures 11.8 inches overall.
The reticle is described as MOA-based, and the glass is fully multicoated.
