Description
This is a 9-inch AR-15 pistol barrel chambered in .300 Blackout, part of the Ballistic Advantage Modern Series with a Distinct Rigid Pattern (DRP) profile. The barrel is made from 4150 chrome moly vanadium steel with a black QPQ corrosion-resistant finish and has a 1:7 twist rate. It features an M4 feed ramp extension and is threaded.
The barrel is drilled for a pistol-length gas system and uses a standard .750-inch gas block journal. The DRP profile is designed to add rigidity for higher-pressure rounds and reduce barrel whip. Each barrel is high-pressure tested and magnetic particle inspected. It is intended for AR-15 pistols or short-barreled rifle lowers registered with the ATF, and the manufacturer recommends gunsmith installation.
