The Barnes LRX 30 caliber 212 grain Bore Rider is a unique LRX product which offers an innovative design that reduces drag (increases BC), increases case capacity, and reduces bearing surface. This is a bore rider bullet design. Only a short section of full .308 diameter remains seated in the case neck. Forward of this, the bullet transitions to bore diameter, which aligns it precisely with the rifle bore- even before firing. This alignment reduces yaw and improves concentricity for enhanced accuracy. Because the nose begins at bore diameter, it doesn't engrave into the rifling. This allows for a highly secant ogive profile, which optimizes aerodynamics and minimizes drag. With only a short section at full diameter, TSX grooves are unnecessary, further improving flight efficiency.
