Barnes Tipped TSX 6mm .243" 80gr Boat Tail Bullets 50 Count

The Barnes Tipped TSX, or TTSX, is a reloading component bullet for handloaders building 6mm rifle cartridges. The full designation, TTSXBT, marks it as the Tipped Triple-Shock X in a boat tail form. Each 80-grain projectile is turned from 100% copper and capped with a polymer tip, so you load a lead-free bullet made for controlled expansion on large game. On impact it opens into four razor-sharp petals that grow the bullet diameter by roughly 50 percent, driving a powerful energy transfer.Every bullet carries a .243 inch diameter, so it works in any rifle you chamber and reload for a 6mm cartridge. The boat tail base steadies the projectile in flight and makes seating into the case mouth cleaner at the bench. A box holds 50 bullets, which gives you room to work up a load and confirm it on paper before the season. The premium copper build also makes these a fit for hunts that call for lead-free ammunition. For accuracy, start by seating the bullet between 0.030 and 0.070 inches off the lands. Move in small steps until your rifle settles into its tightest group. The polymer tip does two jobs at once. First, it raises the ballistic coefficient for flatter, more predictable long-range ballistics. It also drives back on impact to start the fast expansion Barnes built into the TTSX line. As the bullet expands, those four copper petals open and increase the diameter for energy transfer powerful enough for big game. That mix of a high ballistic coefficient and a controlled copper expansion gives the handloader flat trajectories downrange and dependable terminal performance on large game.Product SpecificationsManufacturer: BarnesBullet line: Tipped Triple-Shock X Boat Tail, TTSXBTCaliber: 6mm reloading component bulletBullet diameter: .243 inchGrain weight: 80 grBullet type: polymer tip with boat tail baseConstruction: 100% copper, lead-freeQuantity: 50 bullets per boxItem number: BX30208, MFG 30208UPC: 716876243389Suggested seating depth: 0.030 to 0.070 inches off the landsThe Barnes TTSX rewards the handloader who wants premium terminal performance and lead-free copper in one 6mm projectile.
