Description
The Barnes VOR-TX 20 Gauge Expander Tipped Sabot Slug is a hunting load built around an all-copper expander tipped bullet. The nose opens on impact into six petals, which are intended to create a wide wound channel and deliver energy along the length of the cavity. The 250-grain slug is listed at a muzzle velocity of 1800 fps and is designed to retain weight for a long penetration path.
Each round is a 20 gauge 2-3/4 inch shell with an overall length of 2.75 inches. Packaging is 5 rounds per box, with 10 boxes per case. The manufacturer describes the slug as functioning terminally at low velocities and as suited to hunting game.
