The flash hider is made of durable, lightweight D-16T aluminum alloy with threaded steel connections to prevent its possible unscrewing due to heat or vibration. This suppresses flashes, reduces the intensity of the flash visible to the enemy, and reduces the chances that the shooter will be blinded in low-light shooting conditions. The device is the most effective for 7.62x39 mm (0.309–0.311") cartridges and can be used with 5.56x45 mm (.223 Remington) NATO ammo and 5.45x39mm cartridges.
