With the same hybrid ogive as many of our top performing custom projectiles the Berger Elite Hunter .308 caliber 180gr J4 Hunting Jacket bullet is extremely efficient yet incredibly easy to shoot. The projectiles have been designed for 2-3" penetration but will expand to create a massive wound cavity up to 15". The combination of the thin J4 Hunting Jacket and the boat tail hollow point design allows the Berger Elite to provide optimum hydrostatic shock creating the hydrostatic shock necessary to drop most game animals. The hydrostatic shock will also oftentimes cause the animal to drop immediately.
