Description
The Berger VLD Target Match Grade bullet is a 168-grain projectile designed for handloaders building .308 Winchester ammunition for target shooting at long range. Its Secant Very Low Drag boat tail profile is intended to provide a high ballistic coefficient, which helps the bullet resist wind drift and maintain a flatter trajectory than flat base bullets of the same weight.
The bullet has a lead core within a copper jacket and a hollow point tip. It measures 1.25 inches in overall length and is sold in a box of 100. Berger notes that these bullets are also effective on larger varmints. These are bullets only and do not come loaded as ammunition, so cartridge components such as cases, powder and primers must be supplied separately.
