Billet provides a more rigid handle without the worry of inconsistent forgings. Rapid, single-handed charging using the support hand tends to produce off-axis stress; this makes rigidity one of the most important attributes of a charging handle. We've further enhanced the handle by shot blasting the 'T' portion of the handle prior to anodizing, while leaving the rest of the handle completely smooth.
