Description
Odin 22" 6.5 Creedmoor Tactical Profile Stainless BarrelWhen building an AR, many shooters often mimic what the US Military has done because it saves them time and headache. In 2017, the US Special Operations Command (USSOC) tested the 762x51 NATO, .260 Rem, and the 6.5 Creedmoor. The 6.5 Creedmoor bested the other two calibers with a longer effective range, less wind drift effect, and less recoil. The ODIN Works 22 Tactical Match Profile SS Barrel has a custom gas setup that is 2 longer than the traditional rifle-length AR gas system. The reduced dwell time of the ODIN Works XL Rifle system may lead to a reduced impulse feel and increased accuracy. It can also take cartridges with higher pressures. The 5/8x24 muzzle thread pattern to fit standard AR-10 / LR308 muzzle devices, factory M4 type feed ramps for easy feeding, and a Button-Rifled 1:8 twist rate. This hand-lapped 22-inch barrel weighs only 3 pounds 6 ounces and has the ODIN Works factory Tactical Match Profile! On top of all of that, this ODIN Works barrel comes with a FREE Tunable Stainless Steel Gas Block that allows you to tune your AR for various types of ammo. It also includes a FREE Rifle+2 Gas Tube. These two freebies are a sweet bonus and save you cash on your new long-range rifle build!Specifications 22 Hand lapped 416R stainless steel construction Tactical match contour profile Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor 1:8 twist rate, Button Rifled XL Rifle length gas system Gas tube & Adjustable Gas block included 5/8x24 threaded muzzle M4 feed ramps 1 MOA factory guarantee Weight: 3 pounds 6 ouncesNOTE: No other cartridge has the buzz surrounding the 6.5 Creedmoor lately. After extensive testing and results from the US Special Operations Command, the 6.5 Creedmoor was shown to be the better cartridge of the 3 tested. Now, 6.5 Creedmoor is set to take the place of the aging 7.62 NATO caliber by replacing the existing US Military Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle 7.62x51 NATO caliber barrels with new 6.5 Creedmoor ones. The 6.5 Creedmoor and the 7.62x51 are so similar in size that the only change needed is the barrel. Even the magazines from the current 7.62x51 NATO rifles work with the new 6.5 Creedmoor round.NOTE: 416R is a Crucible-brand steel formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including standard 416SS, are not designed for use in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40degF. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.(All DI barrels include a free stainless steel adjustable gas block. 22 6.5 Creedmoor barrels also include a free gas tube.)
