The DMR or Designated Marksman Rifle is a rifle that is meant for engagements ranging at 300 meters to 600 meters. The Designated Marksman role is meant to bridge the gap between the basic infantry soldier and the super-specialized sniper role. The ODIN Works 20" 6.5 Grendel / LBC Intermediate DMR Stainless Steel Barrel gives you the option of the hard-hitting 6.5 Grendel/LBC cartridge, but still gives you the awesome ODIN Works DMR barrel profile for an accurate DMR-style build.NOTE: Be sure the muzzle device you attach is designed for 6.5 Grendel or larger cartridges. Always double-check your muzzle device during assembly for proper sizing.NOTE: 416R is a Crucible-brand steel formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including standard 416SS, are not designed for use in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.NOTE: "LBC" in the title means Les Baer Custom, which refers to the .264 LBC-AR cartridge.
