ODIN Works 9 mm Atlas Compensator 1/2-36 threadsThe proper orientation or "timing" of an AR compensator is critical and can be tedious. The unique design of the ODIN Works Atlas Compensator has eliminated the need for crush washers and shimming. The Atlas 9mm Compensator features a 3-piece configuration consisting of the steel core, steel end cap, and titanium sleeve. Titanium was selected for the sleeve because of its strength and light weight. The cap and the core are manufactured from 416R stainless steel because it's tough and corrosion-resistant. The natural grey color of the Titanium sleeve is accentuated by the Black Nitride finish of the cap and core, giving the set a remarkable 2-Tone look. The combination of reducing recoil and controlling muzzle rise gives this accessory the best of both worlds.There are 2 thread patterns available for the ODIN Works 9mm Atlas Compensator, 1/2x28 TPI and 1/2x36 TPI. The Atlas Compensator is also available in 6.5 Grendel, 5.56, and .308/7.62 caliber models.NOTE: 416R is a Crucible-brand steel formulated specifically for barrels. Most types of steel, including standard 416SS, are not designed for use in freezing temperatures. But this steel was designed to operate in arctic temperatures, up to -40F. 416R also has greater accuracy potential than normal 416SS and 4150 steel due to its ability to take highly defined rifling and machining cuts.NOTE: Be SURE to check your AR Barrel threads when you are installing a new comp.
