Strike Industries GRIDLOK LITE M-LOK Handguard AssemblyThe Strike Industries GRIDLOK(R) LITE Rail For AR-15 takes the innovation of GRIDLOK(R) and delivers a 1-piece design to minimize weight and offer a cost-effective option. Using the same Patent Pending Quick Rail Detach system, there is no other handguard on the market today that can be removed at home or in the field. With the Quick Rail detach system, a simple push and pull of the quick detach (QD) latch, you have the handguard off in seconds for adjustments to an adjustable gas block or for installation/removal of a suppressor. The QD latch has also been redesigned with a new locking button for earlier latch locking. Integrated into the front of the GRIDLOK(R) LITE is the built-in flip-up backup iron sight (BUIS). Just about any M-LOK accessory can be attached at 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11 o'clock positions along the length of the rail, giving you as many options as any handguard on the market. At the rear of the handguard, you will find an integrated 360deg free-swivel QD socket for a 2-point setup. Rear tabs with set screws at the top of the SI GRIDLOK(R) LITE help center the top rail to the upper receiver to ensure proper alignment. Front cut in front was designed to help fit suppressors up to 1.57" in diameter, and of course, all SI muzzle devices, including the SI OPPRESSOR, for those looking for that tucked look. The handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, and the barrel nut is machined from 7000-series aluminum, which excels in applications that require lightweight, high-strength performance.
