The Heckler & Koch FX03 is a sub-compact fixed blade tanto that fulfils the functional requirements of a modern military and law enforcement knife and is made of the best materials currently developed for its purpose. The strong and yet, easy cutting Tanto blade is made of powder metallurgical MagnaCut. This steel, represents the squaring of the circle in metallurgical terms. Until now, it was only possible to produce either a tough, fracture-elastic steel or a highly corrosion-resistant steel for powder metallurgical steels with extremely high cutting properties. MagnaCut now optimizes the property triangle of edge-retention, toughness and corrosion-resistance by having a chromium content of 10% of the exact saturation limit of the steel.
