Hex head adjustable set screw ensures custom tight fit of the rear lug on any mil-spec upper receiver. Hex headed threaded pins allow for much safer and easier installation and maintenance of both bolt release knobs. Lastly The Smuggler comes with a hex set screw to contain the rear detent spring, no more juggling spring and back plate on install! The Smuggler utilizes a fully enclosed trigger guard, lightly flared mag well and is ready to accept any Mil-Spec lower parts kit that fits your unique needs. The upper receiver is also machined from 7075 billet aluminum and Mil-Spec hard coat anodized for durability. The forward assist has been eliminated to save weight and reduce the risk of snagging, meaning this upper weighs in at just 7.2 ounces. A low profile brass deflector is a smart design that keeps brass out of your face without adding bulk, and a captured dust cover door pin eliminates the need for a C-clip.
