Dissipator style barrel, rifle length gas system paired with 16 inch length. The rifle length gas system on this 16 inch 223 Wylde chambered barrel allows for a soft shooting configuration and fine tuning to your rifle build. With the longer gas system, the bolt has additional time for pressure to subside, making for a smoother unlocking and less wear on the bolt. The gas port is sized to ensure reliable function when unsuppressed, the same as the original Brownells BRN-605. This gas port also allows for fine adjustment when paired with an adjustable gas block, which is recommended if using in combination with a suppressor.
