Description

The product in question is an advanced, highly durable bedding and stabilizing epoxy compound, specifically designed for wood and fiberglass gun stocks. It offers exceptional impact resistance by encasing the action in a layer of solid, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, combined with a precise epoxy-matrix fit essential for superior accuracy. Through a unique blending process, this compound contains more stainless steel by weight than epoxy, featuring 2.5 times more steel than competing products. It exhibits minimal shrinkage, less than 0.1% and resists compression, crumbling or degradation under the most severe magnum or semi-automatic recoil conditions. Fiberglass stock manufacturers utilize this compound to reinforce the recoil lugs of lightweight mountain rifles, while military armorers and civilian shooters employ it under demanding conditions without experiencing breakdown or deterioration. Rigorous testing has confirmed its superior performance, with test samples distributed to armorers, gunsmiths and competitive shooters for real-world evaluation. The compound consistently met and exceeded all performance expectations, with no instances of cracking, crazing or degradation. Notably, group sizes improved across all tested firearms, including semi-automatic, 1000 yd, bolt-action match rifles, benchrest guns and hunting rifles, following bedding with this compound. Due to its high stainless steel content, achieving a color match with wood tones can be challenging. However, recent advancements in dye technology allow for a usable brown color for wood stocks and an effective black for synthetic stocks. Alternatively, the compound can be painted along with the synthetic stock. For optimal color matching on wood stocks, it is recommended to use this compound for recoil lugs and pillar bedding, while employing Acraglas or Acraglas Gel, which are more easily dyed, in visible areas. This steel-bearing bedding compound is not only incredibly strong and durable but also user-friendly. It features a straightforward mixing ratio of 1 part Resin to 1 part Hardener by volume and its creamy, non-runny texture ensures it remains in place during application.
