Description
The system utilizes numerous abrasive balls affixed to a flexible shaft, providing an efficient and rapid method for cleaning and polishing both older and new barrels to achieve a mirror-like finish. For used barrels, begin with the medium-coarse hone, followed by the Fine hone, to eliminate rough and tight areas, resulting in a bright bore finish that is both visible and tangible. It is recommended to run a patch through the barrel before and after honing to observe the significant improvement. During the honing process, tight spots can be detected and addressed with additional attention until they are smoothed out. For new barrels, the Fine hone alone is sufficient to enhance the factory finish to a stunning, mirror-bright appearance that is sure to satisfy customers. The process is straightforward - secure the hone in a variable speed electric drill, apply Flex Hone oil to the hone, start the drill and insert the hone into the barrel from the breech end, if feasible. As the hone operates, a slurry of abrasive and oil forms, facilitating the cutting action. The medium grit specification corresponds to 180 grit silicon carbide, optimized for balanced abrasion and surface finishing in various industrial applications Medium-coarse bore Flex-Hone with red tip for precision surface finishing and deburring applications
