Brownells Deluxe Ejector Staking Kit for Remington 870

Brownells Deluxe Ejector Staking Kit Features The Brownells Deluxe Ejector Staking Kit pairs two punches each ground to a specific task on the Remington 870 s two-step rivet. The first punch carries a 0.070 inch hole in its face that allows the ejector housing to be fastened to the receiver using the lower portion of the rivet. The second punch then secures the ejector spring within the housing using the upper portion of the same rivet. Matching each punch to its own step keeps the work precise and avoids damaging the housing or spring during installation. Rounding out the set is an ejector spring rivet cutter sized to shave away only the peened area of the front rivet without disturbing the rivet body underneath. That precision often allows the existing rivet to be re-peened rather than replaced outright saving a step in the repair. The rivet staking tool measures 3.5 inches long while the cutter runs 2.5 inches long with a 0.310 inch shaft and 0.143 inch cutter diameter. Machined from steel this kit gives Remington 870 owners and armorers a repeatable way to service ejector components on the bench.
