Brownells Shell Latch Staker for Remington 870/1100

Brownells Shell Latch Staker Features The Brownells Shell Latch Staker is machined with the correct factory designed rectangular swaging point matching the exact geometry Remington used to originally stake the shell latch on 870 and 1100 shotguns. This precise point displaces the right amount of metal to properly secure the ejector spring and housing without over-swaging or under-securing the part a balance that is difficult to achieve with an improvised tool. The built-in handle gives the user leverage and control during the staking process helping ensure consistent pressure is applied across the swaging point. Clear printed instructions are included with the tool walking the user through the correct restaking procedure step by step. An included clamp holds the ejector spring and housing firmly in position throughout the process preventing the parts from shifting and ensuring the stake lands exactly where it needs to on Remington 870 and 1100 receivers. At 9-3/4 inches overall the tool is sized for comfortable one-handed control while working on the receiver. Built from steel and finished in black it is durable enough for repeated shop use across many restaking jobs. For gunsmiths and shotgun owners tackling ejector spring maintenance on the 870 or 1100 platform this staker delivers a correct factory-matched repair every time.
