BROWNING ~ 1886 CARBINE ~ .45-70 GOVERNMENT

The Browning Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine (.45-70 Government) with serial number 01085NY1C7 is a modern, high-quality Japanese reproduction manufactured by Miroku for Browning Arms Company. Based on the official Browning serial number system, the code "NY" indicates this firearm was manufactured in 1992, and the code "1C7" designates it as part of the limited-edition production run of the Model 1886 Carbine. This reproduction rifle is a faithful representation of the Winchester 1886, a rifle designed for heavy caliber rifle loads. They were strong enough that the only change required to transition them from black power to smokeless was to upgrade the barrel. This is a really nice rifle if you are looking for a classic hunting rifle used by such sportsmen as Teddy Roosevelt.
