Description
The Browning X-Bolt 2 Hunter Composite is a bolt-action rifle for hunting and range use, chambered in 7mm PRC or 243 Winchester. It uses a redesigned receiver with additional bolt guidance surface for smooth cycling, and a bolt with spiral fluting and a new handle knob to reduce weight.
The rifle has a 24-inch stainless steel sporter-contour barrel with a matte black finish, a bedded action, and a free-floated barrel for consistent accuracy. The DLX three-lever trigger is factory set at 3.5 pounds and adjustable down to 3.0 pounds. The rifle weighs 7.03 pounds, measures 44 inches overall, and holds three rounds. It is supplied without sights.
The muzzle is threaded M13x0.75 to accept the included radial muzzle brake or thread protector cap. An optional Browning Recoil Hawg Sporter muzzle brake is available for additional recoil reduction. The rifle is right-handed.
