The Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed Dark Maple Bolt-Action Rifle is built for high-mileage hunts with a lightweight design that's equally at-home chasing Nebraska whitetails as it is hunting elk in the mountains of Colorado. Like all X-Bolts, the X-Bolt 2 Speed starts with a steel receiver that's glass-bedded within the walnut stock. Glass bedding is an extremely intensive and time-consuming process, but it produces a true free-floated barrel that produces consistent accuracy without interference from unnecessary contact points. To keep weight down, the rifle comes standard with a fluted sporter-contour barrel capable of delivering shot-after-shot accuracy while maintaining a maneuverable profile. The muzzle features M13x0.75 threads that host the included radial muzzle brake that pairs nicely with the Inflex recoil pad to eliminate felt recoil. The DLX trigger features a 3-lever design offering zero creep, zero take-up, and zero over-travel. Where this model deviates from other Speed models is the inclusion of a stabilized AAA dark maple stock. This stock is stiff, trim, and engineered to resist the effects of heat and moisture better than standard wood. The satin finish limits glare. Finishing the package is a Tungsten Cerakote finish for corrosion resistance.
