One of its more notable features is the B&T designed hydraulic buffer system which greatly mitigates recoil and enhances overall accuracy. Another prominent aspect of the SPC9 is the lower receiver which takes much of its design from the B&T APC9 series including its polymer grips ambidextrous AR-style safety and ambidextrous magazine release. This lower receiver utilizes the ultra-reliable polymer magazines but can be swapped out with other B&T lowers that accept the more readily available Glock and Sig Sauer 320 magazines. Other features of the SPC9 include two different charging handle systems: a classic AR-type charging handle and a non-reciprocating foldable charging handle mounted above the barrel. Both of these systems are fully ambidextrous and allows the operator to use whichever system they prefer.
