C.S. Shatuck ~ Unique ~ .32 Rimfire

We have a rare firearm in this offering. The following is a few fun facts about this little derringer action pistol. It is a C.S. Shattuck Arms Company (Hatfield, MA) Unique Squeezer type Palm Pistol. Capacity is four rounds of .32 rimfire with a firing pin that rotates around to strike each round. It opens for loading like a typical derringer. Some 'fun' facts about this little gun. It was only produced from 1907 to 1915. A patent was filed by O.F. Mossberg who was an employee of Shattuck's and early production runs were manufactured by O.F. Mossberg & Sons from 1907 to 1909 in Chicopee Falls, MA but apparently no specimens have been found with their markings. Even more interesting is the fact that the Unique is the only model of C.S. Shattuck firearms that has been found with the name misspelled on the steel. All other firearms of this gun maker clearly have C.S. Shattuck markings with two t's rather than one as indicated on the Unique model. It appears this firearm was manufactured c. 1907. Overall we graded this gun as Excellent Condition however please note that the firing pin does not rotate as designed and requires repair.
