Ankara 1938 Rifle, 8mm, 29″ Barrel

The Ankara Model 1938 (M38) Mauser is a military bolt-action surplus rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm) featuring a distinctive 29-inch barrel. Originally adapted from a mix of older German Gewehr 98s and various older Mauser variants, these rifles were heavily reworked and standardized at the Ankara arsenal starting in the 1930s to streamline Turkish military logistics.
