The Carrero & Astelarra Phantom (often appearing as "Carrera & Astel") is a Spanish manufactured semi-automatic shotgun known primarily as a budget friendly utility or field firearm. It was famously imported into the United States by Century Arms as part of their surplus inventory. A gas-operated semi-automatic system designed to handle standard field and target loads. The manufacturer, Carrero y Astelarra (CYA), was founded in Guernica by former technicians from the famous Astra firearms company. While they were known for quality Spanish craftsmanship, the factory closed its doors in 1983, making these shotguns pieces of history now found almost exclusively on the used market.
