Description
Ruger GP100 is a robust, medium-to-heavy frame double-action/single-action revolver introduced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. in 1985 as an evolution of the older Security-Six line. The GP100 features a solid, closed-top frame without a removable sideplate, delivering exceptional structural strength to handle a continuous diet of full-power .357 Magnum loads without flexing. The cylinder locks securely into the frame at the front, rear, and bottom for positive alignment and stable timing shot after shot. A patented transfer bar safety prevents the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled all the way back, allowing it to be carried safely with a full cylinder. Modular Subassemblies: The revolver disassembles into major integrated subassemblies without requiring special tools, simplifying routine field maintenance and cleaning.
