Description
The Ruger Mark II Target in .22 Long Rifle with a 6.5-inch barrel (more precisely the 6-7/8" Government Target Model) is a high-precision, semi-automatic rimfire pistol. Produced between 1982 and 2005, it is renowned for its exceptional accuracy and was used by the U.S. Military for training and competitive shooting. Improved Safety & Controls unlike the original Mark I, the Mark II introduced a bolt stop that holds the action open after the last shot and a redesigned safety that allows the bolt to be retracted while the safety is engaged. The barrel is attached to a tubular receiver inspired by the Japanese Nambu, ensuring permanent alignment and superior mechanical accuracy. Heel Magazine Release features a traditional European-style latch at the base of the grip. The Trigger is known for a smooth, predictable pull typically averaging 35 pounds, making it a favorite for small game hunting and formal target practice.
