Savage ~ 1899 ~ .303 Savage

This Savage 1899 is a lever-action rifle chambered in .303 Savage with a 24" rifled barrel. The rifle features traditional two-piece wood furniture with a smooth fore-end and fixed buttstock. Its hammerless lever-action configuration is paired with open sights and an additional tang-mounted rear sight. The rifle measures 43" overall and is rated Good (60-79%) condition. The wood furniture shows numerous scratches, dents, handling marks, and areas of finish wear. The receiver, lever, barrel, and other exposed metal surfaces display substantial finish loss, discoloration, and surface wear consistent with the rifle's overall condition. Its wood furniture, hammerless receiver, lever action, and period-style sights give this early Savage a distinctive traditional configuration.
