Smith Wesson British revolver wartime

This smith Wesson revolver is a 38 special it marked 620 1 on the inside of the cylinder. The cylinder and frame serial numbers do match after doing some digging the barrel has been cut down and the lanyard loop has been removed. There are markers marks on the left side of the frame of crossed swords The "crossed swords" stamp is a definitive Birmingham Proof House mark from the United Kingdom. This gun was sent to the UK maybe during wartime this would be a great add to your collection and make for a fun project or fun day at the range. The gun is not marked as a 38 special anymore due to the barrel being cut down but i have put snap caps in it.
