Smith & Wesson 34-1 Flat Latch .22 LR 4" Revolver

The Smith & Wesson Model 34-1 "Kit Gun" is a classic, highly regarded rimfire revolver built on the compact J-frame. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle with a 4-inch barrel, this model was designed as a lightweight companion for hikers, campers, and fishermen to pack in their "kits" for small-game hunting, pest control, and target practice. Introduced in 1960, the Model 34-1 signified S&W's standardization of the J-frame for this model line, completely replacing the slightly smaller 4-screw and 3-screw I-frames. This specific engineering variation enjoyed a long, highly successful production run that lasted until 1988.
