Springfield Armory~ Mk2 Mod0~ .30M1

This is an interesting piece of U.S. Military weapons history! The Mk2 Mod0 is the U.S Navy's attempt at ammo commonality between the M1 Garand and the M14 before full adoption of the M14 rifle. The rifle had a chamber bushing inserted to convert the chamber from .30-06 Springfield to 7.62x51mm, and a spacer inserted into the magazine to adapt to the shorter cartridge length. This example is in very good condition, with minimal metal wear, and a few dings in the wood common with normal use. The muzzle gauges at a 2, and the the throat gauges at a 1, again consistent with minimal/normal use.
