WINCHESTER MODEL 88 .243 WINCHESTER

The Model 88 Winchester is an interesting rifle in that it is a newer design relative to most other lever action rifles and has a unique set of features that are not commonly found on a lever action. It has a front locking, rotating bolt with a solid receiver top ideal for mounting optics. While most lever action rifles have a 2 piece stock with a straight wrist resembling an English stock, the 88 has a more aggressive pistol grip. Instead of being tube fed, it is fed through a detachable box magazine making it more suitable for Spitzer type center fire cartridges, like the .243. This is a unique gun that would make a great hunting rifle or a fun shooter.
