The effect has depth and character that a simple surface color cannot reproduce. Set against the stainless frame and billet stainless steel grips, it gives the Commander a cohesive appearance that rewards a closer look. The frame begins as 416 stainless steel billet, and Cabot applies a proprietary hardening process to the build. Solid steel grips continue that material choice into the part of the pistol you feel most directly. Their added mass contributes to a settled feel during recoil, while the high-cut frame allows the pistol to sit low in the hand. These are details you can appreciate beyond the display case.A Hand-Fit Match Barrel in the Commander FormatA 4.25-inch stainless steel match-grade barrel gives the Serenity its Commander proportions. This pistol includes the threaded-barrel upgrade, adding that feature to the hand-fit barrel configuration. The Commander retains a full-size frame, preserving the familiar grip space and 8-round magazine format that make a .45 ACP 1911 so satisfying to own.The flat serrated trigger is set to a 3.5-4 lb pull, giving the pistol a defined contact surface and a pull weight suited to deliberate shooting. Cabot backs the Serenity design with an accuracy guarantee of better than 1.5 inches at 25 yards. For an enthusiast who enjoys testing ammunition, refining technique and watching a careful group come together, the Serenity offers substance behind its visual appeal.RMR-Ready Capability and Ambidextrous ControlsThe Cabot RMR-ready configuration brings a modern sighting option to this steel-framed 1911. It lets you build around a compatible RMR optic setup while keeping the Serenity's distinctive Commander profile. Select the optic and mounting hardware for Cabot's RMR configuration; the mounting interface matters as much as the sight you choose. The ambidextrous thumb safety adds access from either side of the pistol. A billet beavertail grip safety, billet magazine release and scalloped slide stop continue the emphasis on carefully made controls. Big Bang cocking serrations provide purchase on the slide, and the integrated frame rail gives you an attachment point for a compatible accessory.Grip Detail and a Magwell You Will Appreciate in UseCabot's 24 LPI Rhombus frontstrap checkering adds texture where the fingers wrap the frame, with matching Rhombus treatment on the mainspring housing. The pattern complements the stainless grips while giving the hand defined contact surfaces. The result is a consistent visual theme with a practical role when the pistol is in use.The one-piece extended magwell and mainspring housing create a generous entrance for magazine changes. A polished feed ramp, lowered and flared ejection port, machined-in-place Perfect Fit ejector and one-piece full-length guide rod round out the mechanical details. From the barrel bushing to the controls, the Serenity offers plenty for an experienced 1911 owner to appreciate.Product SpecificationsManufacturer: Cabot GunsModel: Serenity CommanderUPC: 306005003221SKU: CABOT-SERENITY-45ACP-COMM-RMRCaliber: .45 ACPAction: Single-action 1911Barrel: 4.25-inch stainless steel match-grade; hand-fit and threadedCapacity: 8+1Frame: 416 stainless steel billet; integrated accessory railSlide: Damascus stainless steel; deeply etched and polishedGrips: Billet stainless steelTrigger: Flat serrated; 3.5-4 lb pullOptics configuration: Cabot RMR readyThumb safety: Cabot ambidextrousFrontstrap: 24 LPI Rhombus checkeringMainspring housing: Rhombus checkering; one-piece extended magwell/housingGuide rod: Billet one-piece full-lengthEjector: Cabot machined-in-place Perfect FitBarrel bushing: Cabot billet constructionAccuracy guarantee: Better than 1.5 inches at 25 yardsIncluded magazines: Two 8-round magazinesIncluded with Your PurchaseCabot Guns Serenity Commander pistolTwo 8-round .45 ACP magazinesCabot bushing wrenchGun lockFrequently Asked QuestionsDoes this Serenity Commander have a threaded barrel?Yes.
