CARCANO ~ ITAILAN 91 CAV ~ 6.5X52MM

The Italian Carcano Moschetto Modello 1891 Cavalry Carbine (91 Cav) chambered in the historic 6.5x52mm Carcano cartridge is an incredibly handy and iconic piece of military surplus. Specifically engineered for mounted troops, bicycle units, and fast-moving frontline specialists, this purposefully built bolt-action carbine features a compact 17.7-inch barrel that delivers unparalleled mobility and lightweight balance. This particular specimen features the classic "RE TERNI" factory arsenal stamp on the barrel facet, verifying its origin from the famous Regia Fabbrica d'Armi di Terni (Royal Arms Factory of Terni) under the authority of the Italian Crown. Setting the "Moschetto da Cavalleria" apart from all other military arms of its era is its unique, permanently attached under-folding spike bayonet, which safely locks back beneath the forearm and deploys instantly via a spring-loaded latch. Operating on Salvatore Carcano's robust split-bridge action, it feeds from a 6-round Mannlicher-style en bloc clip that automatically drops free out of the bottom of the internal magazine after the final round is chambered. Wrapped in a traditional military hardwood stock, this Terni-made veteran of the World Wars serves as an absolute must-have for martial collectors and milsurp plinkers looking to own a fascinating chapter of Italian history.
