Champlin Arms custom action. Champlin Arms began life back in 1966 and by the early seventies had established itself as one of the top bolt actions in existence. The 24 ½ Inch full octagon barrel features an integral quarter rib, sling swivel, and front sight ramp. It has a Leupold 3-9 Vari-X II scope and an adjustable trigger. The bolt uses three guide rails to ensure the bolt travel is kept butter smooth and precise. It features a fully recessed bolt head with a blade type extractor and plunger ejector. The bolt has three front locking lugs giving the bolt a 60 lift. It has a beautiful Monte Carlo style Circassian Walnut stock with fine checkering. The top of the barrel is inscribed as "John T. Amber." John T. Amber was the Editor of the Gun Digest annual book from the 1951 through 1979 editions and served as Editor Emeritus from the 1980 through 1986 editions. No box.
