Description

The US Army's first standard issue breech loading rifle was the 1873 Springfield "Trapdoor", named for its hinged breechblock which opened like a trapdoor. This modern day reproduction by Cimarron is faithful in appearance and operation while taking advantage of modern metallurgy and industrial technology. It is made with the finest state of the art CNC machinery from the best gun steels available. This rifle has a 22" barrel, color case hardened receiver and walnut stock.
