Cold Steel Roman Gladius Sword 20" 1060 Steel Blade Walnut Handle

The Cold Steel Roman Gladius Sword is not a reproduction of a specific ancient Gladius but is a collection of this venerable sword's major features. The blade, for example, has the traditional shape, but, unlike the ancient version, is made from high carbon steel with a spring temper. It is fully sharpened on both edges and has a fine mirror polish. The point is long, but sturdy enough to resist bending or breaking. It also features a Rosewood grip, carved, and decorated in the classical style. The wood scabbard is covered in black leather and accented with a throat, chape, and carrying rings made of solid brass. Undeniably a showpiece, the Cold SteelA(R) Gladius, like all our swords, is fully functional and battlefield ready.FeaturesWood scabbard covered in black leather and brass accentsCarved Rosewood gripSpring temper
